Not Where

In Texas the brawl is frequently over Whataburger versus In-and-Out. Then we have local places going head to head.  We all love our burgers so much that there's barely a day where a battle of the buns isn't taking place!  We're going to take a step back and get more into "how" Texas likes it's burgers and table the "where" discussion for another time. We have some interesting results for you from Spinbet.com.

It's Basic

While it seems like "cheeseburger" is often the burger of choice, Texans just search for "hamburger" four times as much. That may seem like a simple distinction to you, but people who study trends will tell you that consumers tend to search for exactly what they want. This means is people search for "hamburger", they are most likely wanting that beef straight up.

Other Choices

So how did other burger options score? After "cheeseburger" the next most popular choice was "double cheeseburger". Following that were turkey burger, chicken burger", veggie burger, bacon cheeseburger, lamb burger, BBQ burger, and blue cheeseburger.  As far as these options go, I didn't know lamb burgers were a thing, and I'm certainly disappointed that bacon cheeseburgers didn't rate higher.

Pure Beef

Texas is cattle country so it's no surprise that a basic hamburger was the top choice. I think it goes beyond using that term as a catch-all for all burgers, I think that Texans prefer the taste of thier meat as unadulterated as possible. So what toppings do Texans like on thier burgers? That's a discussion for a whole other time.
