The Date You Were Born Determines Your Favorite Halloween Candy

The Process

ChatGPT is so fun. At least it WAS fun until I broke it this morning. I asked it to assign a candy to every day of the year, yep, 365 choices, and it gave me an error message the likes of which I have never seen before. I think it was trying to tell me that there were not 365 candies that could be named for the survey. I drilled things down to a more reasonable level and here we are.

Uses

You can use this list to say, "Oh yeah, I've always liked those", or you could use it to select the candy you want to hand out this Halloween. Either way it's a fun way to look at candy for this season. So go ahead and make a guess as to what you got, or make a commitment to get the one that our robot overlords assigned to you.

The Results

So here's where we're at. I was able to get 31 candies matched with 31 days. This means if you were born on January 12th, you'd just look up "12th". Sure, everyone born on the 12th regardless of month will be included, but this way we're sticking to really good, really popular candies and no one gets stuck with something awful like Circus Peanuts. I will verify, every candy you see coming up is an absolute banger that you'd be happy to find in your trick or treat bag.
