Texas always does things bigger and better, so where's the "Salad Bar Champ"?

Big In Texas

I have written any number of posts about large items in Texas. Along with the largest cave and largest flea market, I've covered tons of food items from chicken-fried steaks to monster burritos. I just went on another quest, and I can't believe no one has stepped up to take the crown.

Salad Bars

Salad bars are not as popular as they used to be. I guess it's a pandemic thing, but they just aren't being promoted as an "add-on" or bonus at a lot of restaurants anymore. Sure, my town features a couple of restaurants who's focus is salad, but even with that, no one is stepping up for a world or Texas record.

No Winner For Salad Dinner

Yes, unfortunately when you google "Largest salad bar in Texas" you come up woefully short. No one is making that claim and that's a shame. This seems to me like a pretty easy way to take care of your customers and promote a restaurant. Heck, you could even make it long and skinny and say it's "The Longest Salad Bar In Texas".

A Possible Contender?

The closest we can come to a contender is Souper! Salad! which has some salad bars that are up to 45 feet long. That seems close enough to make the claim of having the "longest" or "largest" in Texas, but they don't brag on it too much. I guess salad is more of a humble thing, so no one has claimed the title of "Salad King" in Texas.
