The “Real” Reason MTV Doesn’t Play Music Videos [VIDEO/NSFW]

It is one of the most frequent asked questions in television, Why Doesn't MTV Play Music Videos, and we get an answer in this installment of "Ask A Network Head" and a pretty accurate answer.

To me and my opinion to this question is money it is that simple. We all like making money and we all like to spend money and if playing music videos was still a money maker then you bet we would still have music videos on MTV.

I can remember watching Headbanger's Ball late on Saturday and finding out all about the bands I loved, but that time has passed. We have the internet to discover music and just like the video says we can follow our favorite bands on several social media sites.

There are some great music videos that are still being made and I still watch them but the days of MTV playing just music videos are done.

Checkout the video and even though it has alot of humor behind it, the video is pretty close on why MTV doesn't play music videos anymore.
