Is Texas Tech Installing Big Brother Tortilla Cameras?
Is there a plan afoot to stop the tortilla madness at Texas Tech? My sources say, “YES!”
It seems the iconic tradition of fans flinging tortillas across Jones AT&T Stadium may finally meet its match. While it’s long been as common as dust storms or white trucks in Lubbock, the university appears to be taking serious steps to curb the floury free-for-all.

The practice of tossing tortillas before kickoff dates back to the 1990s — about three decades of airborne carbs that have become part of the local culture. But after several penalties and a hefty fine, Texas Tech is now stuck in a sticky (or starchy) situation. 🕒 The Real Test
We’ll find out soon enough — likely around 3:00 p.m. Saturday, when the Red Raiders face Oklahoma State. If no tortillas fly, then “Tortilla Big Brother” might just be real. If they do, then the fans have once again proven that some Lubbock traditions are harder to kill than a West Texas weed.
