I don't want to get all sappy on you guys, but here goes...

I had a recent encounter with a couple of young fans that work at United Express off of 4th and Milwaukee, and they totally made my day. Working in radio is weird. You always wonder if anyone is listening, even when you are hosting the number one morning show in our area. It doesn't matter. You can't see them laugh or react in person to what you are saying, so...you just wonder...

We KNOW that there are thousands of listeners. We have the data. We know the numbers. But, walking into an auto shop and hearing yourself on-air blasting through the garage just makes you smile. It makes you feel so connected to the people that live here. It makes every single day working in radio feel worth it, even the bad days. Not every day is perfect. We are good fakers, I'll just say that...

Tonight, I went to one of my favorite stores in town to grab a few things, and I was recognized by a few listeners from the younger generation which really made my heart smile. I just wanted to share it with you all, so here's a stupid video!

We go to work each day looking for things to discuss that TRULY matter to the people around us. We are sensitive to political views and try to be a station for everyone. We want rock music to bring us together and never pull us apart. We want you guys to hang out with us for the duration of our on-air shows, we really do. We think about it constantly.

I just want to thank every single listener that joins us for the morning show. We really love you and appreciate your support. Whether you comment on our Facebook questions, call into The RockShow Confessional, or just participate in 'What's In The Box?', we truly adore you! You are the reason we wake up every morning and keep moving forward.

Thank you to the fans like the ones mentioned in this video, and if there is any way we can ever bring to light something important happening in your life, we are always here to help. We are YOUR local morning show. We are one of a kind. We are here for YOU.
