West Texas Comic Con Daily Schedule & New Surprise Guests Announced

West Texas Comic Con (WTCC) begins this Friday, June 16, and lasts all the way through Sunday. It's a huge weekend of fun for everyone- and a really great event to celebrate Father's Day as well. Tickets are available at Gold Mine Collectables (2606 50th St) or at the event website.

WTCC is making a big leap this year- previously held in a hotel, this year will see WTCC at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center (1501 Mac Davis), quadrupling the available space. Because of this, WTCC has many more vendors, artists, events, and celebrity guests than ever before.

With so much going on, you may want to make a mental road map of what you'd like to do when- while you're at the con. Luckily, I have the perfect thing for that- a schedule!

But first, let's talk about celebrity guests. WTCC has a huge roster this year- and the most celebrity guests I've ever seen at any Lubbock Con. You can see them all on WTCC's website, but I'd like to highlight my favorites- and a couple that we are very recently announced.

For folks who love wrestling, you'll really love meeting The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase AND his tag team partner Mike IRS Rotunda. Horror fans can meet Paul T. Taylor, Pinhead from Hellraiser: Judgement, Brian A. Prince, the Fugitive Predator, stuntman and actor, and CJ Russel from Friday the 13th Vengence 2: Bloodlines. Fans of the Dragon Ball series can meet three voice actors and Power Rangers fans can meet two of the Power Rangers In Space. Famed character actor Burt Gilliam will be there, too, and you know him from Blazing Saddles, Back to the Future 3, and Fletch.

Additionally, there will be comic book artists and writers, Heavy Weight Champ Butter Bean, and the Ninja Turtles! So start planning your day(s) at the Con, with this schedule of events:
