World Champion Houston Astros to Play at Least Twice on Sunday Night Baseball
The World Champion Houston Astros took the baseball world by storm last postseason when they defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, and now they will have more national television appearances in 2018.
Tuesday afternoon, ESPN released a partial schedule for Sunday Night Baseball in 2018. The Astros first appearance on Sunday Night Baseball will be on April 15 hosting the Texas Rangers. Then on May 20 the Astros will host the Cleveland Indians. Both games will start at 7:05pm and will be heard on SportsRadio 1340 The Fan.
Additional Sunday Night Baseball match-ups in July, August and September will be announced after the start of the 2018 regular season. The Astros will most likely pick up additional appearances as the reigning world champions.
In addition, the Astros Opening Day game Thursday, March 29, at the Texas Rangers will be televised nationally on ESPN. The game starts at 2:35pm and will also be broadcast on SportsRadio 1340 The Fan.
Finally, the Astros 2018 home opener will be televised nationally on ESPN. Monday, April 2, the Astros host the Baltimore Orioles and will raise their first World Series Championship banner. The game will start at 6:10pm and can also be heard on SportsRadio 1340 The Fan.
