You may have left reviews for restaurants and businesses, but did you know you can do the same for an entire city.

Let's establish the fact that these reviews aren't for Lubbock city government services or anything like that. These are reviews from people who came to town as a visitor who wanted to write their impressions down for others. It's actually a really good idea, but I really don't know why you'd sit down and do that.

Yelp Reviews Of Lubbock Vary Widely

There are actually Yelp! reviews of the Hub City. There are not many of them at this time. There are only three recommended reviews with the latest being from 2020. If you take these reviews together you get a four star average.

Things do go downhill quickly if you look at the non-recommended reviews. These all put Lubbock in an extremely bad light, make some bad accusations, and generally savage the city at large.

So, what's the verdict on all of this? Well, I'm only going to talk about the positive reviews because the negative ones seem like they have an ax to grind. The recommended reviews tend to point out the things we already know. First, I like the observation that the author couldn't see or enjoy all the stuff he wanted to in one day and is planning a return trip. One review also features some excellent recommendations and places to see and places to eat.

Looking at some of the negatives from the people who left recommended reviews, flooding, police problems, and trashy streets near the university were mentioned.
