If you're a big Texas foodie, listen up! Texas is finally getting its very own Michelin Guide. It was confirmed via press release Tuesday by the French tire company/fancy food authority. Soon, you'll know exactly where to find the best Tex-Mex, seafood, steak, and barbecue in Texas!

The Michelin Guide is a three-star ranking system comprised of anonymous reviewers who spend weeks testing out local restaurants and then rating them on several different key points like cooking techniques and overall food quality. A one-star review means a restaurant is fantastic. Two stars mean a restaurant is worth making a detour on your road trips just to grab a bite. Three stars mean that the restaurant is top-notch-badass and you should probably plan an entire vacation around visiting it.

The brand-new Michelin Guide will feature restaurants in Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas, and will be released later this year.

The only downside to Texas getting a Michelin Guide is the influx of lengthy reservation waitlists. It's expected the guide will bring tourists from far and wide to sample the best food Texas has to offer.

So, what do you think? Pretty cool, huh?

I'm stoked. I'll have to add some extra trips to Austin next year. I can't wait to see some of my favorite restaurants snag a star or two. Fingers crossed they find all the best nooks and crannies in Texas. We've got some stellar food here that deserves mad props.
