Yungblud Spotted at Amarillo’s Big Texan Steak Ranch During U.S. Tour
Most rock stars can just blow through a town and no one knows they’ve ever visited.
It’s always cool when West Texas gets a little shine, and a recent picture from Amarillo caught my eye.
Amarillo does have one thing over Lubbock, and that’s the old Route 66 and parallel I-40. That highway cuts across America and makes it the perfect road for zipping through the Lone Star State.
The convenience of that road, or maybe even the historic value of it, was apparently enough for the artist Yungblud—or his traveling crew—to take advantage of it.
Yungblud Stops at the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas
Yungblud is traveling the U.S. on his Idols tour, and he stopped at the Big Texan on his way from Denver to Austin. Fortunately, that moment was documented.
I first became aware of Yungblud via a Machine Gun Kelly video that a friend was lucky enough to be part of. It was obvious at that time that the kid could sing and perform on a level far above most out there.
Recently, Yungblud has been catapulted further into the spotlight, partially because of his epic performance at Ozzy Osbourne’s Back To The Beginning concert. His version of Changes is also expected to be one of the highlights of the upcoming documentary.
Here in the U.S., Yungblud is still in search of a major hit. He treads somewhere between pop and rock, so it’s a tough road for him to navigate on the radio. Still, one has to respect the guy for doing his own thing and bringing the audience into his world instead of pandering to whatever is currently popular.
