Here are a few photos from previous visits to help us get ready for tonight.
Remember, ya never know who might show up in the KFMX Voodoo Lounge!
Comic Books, Star Wars And Art Work Abound (PHOTOS)
High above the Lubbock Arts Festival, in a hidden upper room, they began to gather. Many spoke strange languages, others wore amazing costumes to hide their Secret Identities. The meeting lasted two days, and they called it... The Lubbock Comic Book Expo! Our own Wes Nessman is thought to be a closet comic book fan, as he has been seen indulging with The Spawn and The Walking Dead!
I got up Saturday morning and decided to broaden my cultural knowledge by going to see the Lubbock Arts Festival and take a few pictures. As I entered the civic center and began to check out the jelly bean art, I saw it, my worst addiction. A sign said that the 5th annual Lubbock Comic Book Expo was being held upstairs during the Lubbock Arts Festival. Well, the Art Festival was over for me at that point, as I never set foot downstairs the rest of the day. (PHOTOS After the jump.)
The Construction Goes On Forever, The “NIGHTMARE” Never Ends (PHOTOS)
Most visitors to Nightmare on 19th Street think that the park opens and closes in October and then just sits there for a year until it reopens a year later, but this could not be further from the truth. The masters of horror, Wes Nessman, Lynn Day and their merry band of monster makers take a few weeks off in November and then immediately jump right back into the construction process. Saliva Live 2012 [PIX]
Our apologies for the tardiness of this gallery. Our buddy Wood captured Saliva's return to the stage with new singer Bobby Amaru. Check it out!
Saliva, Siva Addiction And Fallen Within Rock The Meet-N-Greet At The Lone Star Oyster Bar.
Everyone attending the meet-n-greet Monday (2-20-12) at the Lone Star Oyster Bar had the entire evening to eat, drink and meet the bands. This new tour has everyone pumped and ready to explode on stage tonight. We had so much fun that I ended up buying the latest Saliva and Siva Addiction cds just to get them signed. Photos following the jump.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra Live At The USA Lubbock, Texas AKA Mission Impossible (11-14-11) (Photo/Video)
Facebook friends might be nice, but real life friends are better. After missing Trans-Siberian Orchestra's first four visits to town, I decided to offer to take my family this year. This was before tickets went on sale since we would want good seats. No one was interested, so I did not arrange for any tickets.
Fast forward to the day of the show. At 4pm my wife decides that she definitely wants to go to the show. It is way to late to get tickets from the radio station, and I even had to miss the on the air interview with The Rock Show at the station. The concert is nearly sold out and there are no good seats available, so I hesitantly begin making phone calls. To my surprise and with two hours to spare, my friend John "Get the shot, Get the shot!" Berry (KCBD Videojournalist/Photojournalist) calls me and says that he has me covered with two floor seats waiting at will call!
An hour before the show, another son calls and asks if I could get us all tickets, since he will soon not be living in town for a few years, and he wants to do a family thing before he leaves. No Pressure... (Photos/Videos Follow The Jump)
Clowns Gone Wild At Nightmare On 19th Street [PICS]
TRUE STORY (Lubbock Texas) When Clowns Attack... Halloween night at Nightmare On 19th Street this year had to be the most fun... dangerous to date. Years ago, when Clown Town was closed down and destroyed under questionable circumstances, all the evil spirits trapped in clown bodies had no where to go and quickly grew more and more restless. They began gathering together and danced under the stars until, in a hypnotic frenzy, they would burst out into the night, finding others to join the dance. When the dancers started disappearing, the authorities gathered up the Clowns and committed them indefinitely to The Sanitarium. That is, until Halloween night... (Jump ahead if ya dare!)
Vallejo at The Depot Oyster Bar Tonight (11-11-11) [PICS]
If the last time these guys came to town is any indication, the O Bar is going to rock tonight. This group has been one my favorites since the first time they played an FMX event 20 years ago. They are still as energetic as ever, and I swear, I don't think they are aging... at least not normally. Their energetic form of rock with a Latin twist is why I come back over and over. Here are some photos from this summers show.
Halloween Night at Nightmare On 19th Street Featuring BlindFold Charlie [PICS]
This year had to be the most fun ever. With BlindFold Charlie entertaining the crowd for the second time this year, more visitors than ever dressing up in costumes, cool weather, short lines and more clowns than you could shake a stick at ,you could not have asked for a better Halloween party...
Getting Ready For An Evening At Nightmare On 19th Street, With Colossus OF Rhodes (Photos)
A lot of time and effort goes into getting ready for Nightmare On 19th Street each night. It takes hours each night to get the multitude of actors ready before curtain call. We would be lost without our exceptional make-up artists! Time is running out, don't miss the best Halloween Fun Available! Here are just a few of the photographs.
BlindFold Charlie and an Evening at Nightmare On 19th Street [PICS]
BlindFold Charlie rocked the Nightmare Courtyard Saturday 10-15-11. Both sets were well received by the intended victims... welcome visitors, as they waited in line, and it added additional excitement to the already charged carnival type atmosphere. The excitement was evident by the nervous laughter heard throughout the park. Photos follow the jump.
