The Texas Tech Red Raider baseball team was back on the diamond this weekend, opening up the regular season against the Milwaukee Panthers. Tech won three of four games during the weekend stretch.

Texas Tech has taken down three top 25 teams (Iowa State, Baylor and Oklahoma) and now the Oklahoma State Cowboys, which they did Saturday by a score of 71-61.

The last of the NASCAR preseason festivities took place Thursday night, as the field of drivers participated in the two "qualifying" races for the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

Many people shrug off the Pro Bowl for various reasons, but to football freaks it's that second-to-last time to watch the world's best put on a show. The rosters for this year's game in Hawaii have been decided.
