You know all those great grunge bands you hear on the radio?  The Screaming Trees inspired them.  The 'Trees were around before Nirvana, Pearl Jam and the like. They were part of the scene when Soundgarden, Green River and The Melvins ruled.  More after the jump.

The record companies were still riding the "video music" thing and we're concerned about appearances. It's been said that the hefty Conner brothers may have held the band back, but you can tell it wasn't from a lack of talent.  After checking out this track you can tell that grunge sprang from psychedelia as well as harder rock like Sabbath.  This song, however, is a pure grunge rock love song classic.  Enjoy some "Screaming Trees".
