Bricks & Play LLC, a Big LEGO-Inspired Store, Is Coming to Lubbock
LEGOs and other building blocks do a lot for a mind. It helps you relax, gets the creative juices flowing and is just plain fun. Bricks & Play LLC is coming to Lubbock and will have all you need for your building needs.
This has been something owner Lori Carpenter's sons, Andrew (15) and John Nathan (13), have pushed to get for years. They want to give the best quality at an affordable price. Her son is even going to teach some classes and they hope to offer scholarships.
Their location will be above West Texas Karate in the Salem Village. They hope to line all their walls with LEGO base plates. They say they will offer things like "Parents’ Night Out, LEGO Spike Prime Robotics, Espanol con LEGO and of course LEGO Star Wars Camp." They hope to open their doors to the community at the end of December with classes starting in January.
According to their Facebook, they will have afterschool classes for your kiddos and plan to use "NXT or EV3 and start as early as January! We also plan to offer SPIKE, BricQ Motion, and STEAM Park."
People with Autism can also come out and enjoy as well. They plan to hire a reputable play therapist to help students with special needs. They also plan to offer mobile LEGO parties and events to rural areas such as Floydada, Portales, Lorenzo and more.
Since they're so new. they're asking for people's opinions and thoughts. They will post a survey soon so that your thoughts can be heard. While their website is still in the works, you can check out their Facebook page to be the first in the know with everything new that's happening there
