Buffalo Springs Lake Rescinds Boil Water Notice
Management at Buffalo Springs Lake sent a Rescind Notice regarding the boiling of water for residents who were told earlier this week to boil water after fire hydrant issues caused parts of the lake to go without water.
The Boil Water Rescind Notice read, "On August 27th, 2019, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system, Lubbock County WCID#1 PWS ID 1520006, to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to the presence of contaminates or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior consumption.
Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with the testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of August 29th, 2019.
