We're pleased to present to you some of the art of Robert Q. Garza.

Garza's art was brought to our attention when he made a portrait of his impression of 94.5 FMX's Miss Kelly Plasker. There is something special to his art, though I can't quite put my finger on it. It's very realistic with just a hint of caricature about it. It has a certain photo-realism to it, while looking like the pictures you'd find in a graphic knowledge.

This month, Garza's art will be featured in Lubbock Magazine. We thought this was the perfect opportunity to bring you a little preview of some of his works. We knew you'd appreciate that aggro-James Hetfield of Metallica if nothing else.

Garza has a whole page dedicated just to his science-fiction artwork. Apparently, he's a man after my own heart, focusing on the characters from the Star Trek universe, including William Shatner's Captain James T. Kirk. It's especially cool that he has chosen to do such a wide array of characters instead of just focusing on the biggest stars from the biggest shows.

We hope you enjoy the small gallery below. If you or someone you know is an artist, we'd very much love to include your work in a gallery at some point. Feel free to reach out to any of us or just email me right here and we'll get you all lined out. Art is a wonderful thing to spread around, and we'd like to share yours.
