Do you want a change in leadership, or do you want to keep or get rid of the Lubbock Coliseum?  Those things are on the ballot today.

Also on the ballot is the race for District one councilman. Sadly district 3 and 5 council folks are running unopposed (I have no idea who that is or what they've done, it's just sad when very few or no people are willing to bring new ideas to the table).

Not many people vote in these type of elections, Lubbock Online reports it was only 16% of the registered voters in 2016 and only 9% in 2014.

It would be awesome if the issue of whether to keep the Coliseum and Auditorium lit a fire under peoples rears and inspired them to get a little more involved in the political process but my guess is there will be barely any uptick in voting at all.  If you'd like to know more, you can find the wording on the issue here.

There are a number of early voting locations, most notably all United Supermarkets.
