FMX Shames the City of Lubbock Into FINALLY Cutting the Weeds
Well, well, well...
Looks like we shamed the City of Lubbock into addressing the unsightly and embarrassing weeds and tall grass. It didn't have to be this way, guys, but you left us with no choice but good old-fashioned humiliation, something that seems to work well in a pinch.
This isn't the first time an article from 94.5 FMX has gotten something done around town. Do you remember when we wrote about the two cars abandoned on the loop? That issue was fixed rather quickly after the article went viral. Perhaps this is the new way to get your city to take responsibility for the things they often turn a blind eye to.
The only citations handed out for weed in Lubbock should be given to the city for this unsightly BS that is just about 100 times more offensive than a little Mary Jane. If we could all just get on the same page, what a wonderful world it would be. I can't believe the audacity one has to give citizens citations for their grass being too tall when they allow grass and weeds in public spaces to grow over six feet tall.
HELLO, POT -- MY NAME IS KETTLE!
Whatever the case, it worked. I'm sure there weren't already lawn maintenance days scheduled weeks in advance or anything. It was definitely all because of FMX. Yup. We're taking full credit. The end.
P.S. If you happen to see something ridiculous around Lubbock that the city needs to take care of immediately, please submit it to us in an app message or email me directly at Chrissy.Covington@townsquaremedia.com.
