Guess Who Else Is Not Coming to Lubbock

We had a show all but booked and it fell through.

I have no idea how this show got so close, yet so far away.

We had a REALLY cool show that was headed to the Hub City. For a minute, we even discussed making it the 41st FMX Birthday Bash because no one throws a party like this band. We eventually decided to pin our Birthday Bash hopes on another show because we figured it would be better that The RockShow welcome the band.

This would have been what you call an "underplay" for the band. They were set to play Jake's Backroom, even though they often play much, much larger venues. I even had a cool tagline for the show.

Yup, that's the actual script that had already been sent off to our "big-voice guy" so we could start hyping this up. Then, at the very last minute, the band's management decided that they'd take the day off. This show is NOT happening. What a bummer.

This is the second close call we've had with Steel Panther. If you remember, they were supposed to open a 3 Doors Down show here in the Hub City until some concerned parents rose a stink about their material. I still can't believe that 3 Doors Down bowed to the pressure and had them taken off the bill.
