Here Are The 7 Best Reasons For Attending Texas Tech In Lubbock, Texas
It's time to put a positive spin on Texas Tech and Lubbock!
Welcome!
I recently featured "The 7 Worst Things About Attending Texas Tech In Lubbock, Texas" knowing two things in advance, #1. Those "worst things" weren't that bad, and #2. That I was going to do a positive follow up. So here you go, it's "The 7 Best Reasons For Attending Texas Tech In Lubbock, Texas"
#1. It's A Good School
I'm showing over 150 undergraduate degrees, 100 master's option, and 50 doctoral programs. Texas Tech is known for strong engineering, business, and of course, Ag programs.
#2. Tech Life
Tech Students stick together. As we discussed previously, there's not a lot to do off campus. Tech students have overcome this with hundreds of student organizations(in fact my research shows over 550 organizations). You'll find plenty of people who are into what you're into. Also, it's a large school, but not so large that you'll be "swallowed up" by it's enormity.
#3. Affordability
Tech is cheap. As far as colleges go, Texas Tech is very affordable. There are also any number of scholarships and financial aid options available to students. Simply put, your educational dollar goes further in Lubbock.
#4. The Campus
Lubbock weather can be rough and the scenery definitely falls in the "Not-so-much" category. Texas Tech makes up for this with a beautiful campus featuring plenty of green spaces and places to stretch out.
#5. School Spirit
Texas Tech students are rabid fans of the home team. They show up with their smuggled tortillas at the home football games, and pack the United Supermarkets Arena for the basketball games. The students proudly wear the colors and support thier university.
#6. Research Opportunities
Texas Tech is a Tier One Research University and that is not a designation handed out like peanuts on an airplane (okay, I guess it's pretzels now). If you want to get hands on in your field, Texas Tech may be an excellent choice for you.
#7. Career & Networking
I combined these two because they work so well together. Texas Tech has an entire department dedicated to internships, job placement and prep. In addition, Tech has a huge network of Alumni who love to connect with new Red Raiders.
Coda
Wow! I'm sold. In fact, if you'd like to read, "The 7 Worst Things About Attending Texas Tech In Lubbock, Texas", I'm betting you see the pros heavily outweigh the cons.
