I understand there are many reasons for schools to stay open -- food insecurity, internet access and more. But if the City of Lubbock wants no crowds of over 200, why should a high schooler go back to Lubbock High or Coronado, both of which have enrollment over 2,000 students?

It's a huge gap in logic, and I believe that many of these kids, back from traveling elsewhere for Spring Break, are primed to bring the virus back to susceptible family members and the community at large.

I believe Lubbock ISD needs to do the right, sensible and logical thing: follow the city's guidelines against crowds of over 200 and close schools.
