Introducing Anime WTX, Lubbock’s First Anime Convention
Anime WTX is Lubbock's first and only anime convention.
It's coming January 25-27th, 2019 at the MCM Elegante Hotel, 801 Ave. Q in Lubbock, Texas.
So far, several special guests have been announced. You can keep scrolling to get the full picture of what's in store for anime fans in West Texas.
Sonny Strait, the man best known as the voice of Krillin from Dragon Ball Z, will be at Anime WTX. Also announced is Eric Vale, the voice of Trunks in Dragon Ball and several other anime shows.
Start getting your cosplay together now! I'm still deciding, but I really love Oma:
The event is jam-packed with fun stuff, brought to you by convention veterans who know how to plan a good time:
Come enjoy all the fun of a hotel convention, where you can meet celebrity guests from the anime industry, shop anime, manga, and Japanese culture vendors, buy fandom prints and art in our beautiful artist alley, have tea with Japanese maids at our Neko Squared Maid Cafe, play video games, or try to get out of the Yandere Escape Room! [...] We’ll have after parties late into the night, pajama parties, karaoke, dance-offs, concerts, and all the fun you’d expect at a big city anime con!
