Is Best Buy Building a New Store in Lubbock?
Best Buy has had two locations, one current and one former, since moving into Lubbock almost two decades ago. And now, it looks like they will be closing the West Loop store for a new store in the West End area.
From Everything Lubbock:
City of Lubbock public records said a building permit was requested for a “new Best Buy store” in the 2400 block of West Loop 289. That location is in the West End North development. The estimated value was listed at $4 million, and the contractor was listed as Lee Lewis Construction.
So it looks like Best Buy is looking to the future with a new store in what could be considered a better location.
