New Buc-ee’s Reclaims Top Spot in Texas for World’s Largest

They say everything is bigger and better in Texas and now the Lone Star State is home to the World's Largest Buc-ee's Travel Center.

The new Buc-ee's is located in Luling just 50 miles south of Austin and to put into perspective just how large, 75,000 square feet.. According to KENS 5, Buc-ee's has 120 fuel pumps.

Additionally, tons of snack and meal options from everything from homemade BBQ, Pizza, Tacos, and more plus amazing tasty desserts.

The new Buc-ee's is expected to bring 250 jobs to the hill country with a starting pay of $18 an hour. Before the new store in Luling, the largest Buc-ee's was in Tennessee.

I mean, if you can't find what you're looking for here chances are you will not find it anywhere else.

If you go to Buc-ee's you have to take home a souvenir.

With this store, there are now approximately 50 locations in nine states with more locations under construction in  Smith Groves, Kentucky 2024, Amarillo, Texas in 2025, Brunswick, Georgia 2025, and stores coming in 2026 in Rockingham County, Virginia, and Boerne, Texas.

Buc-ee's is a Texas tradition headquartered in Lake Jackson where the first Buc-ee's was built in 1982. The first large-scale travel center was built in Luling, Texas in 2003, the new store replaces the old one.

About the Name

Co-owned by Arch Aplin and Don Wasek, Aplin's mother was nicknamed Beaver and his Labrador Retriever was named Buck so he combined the names with the beaver logo thus Buc-ee's was born.
