Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Arts Festival, Comedy, & More

There are always a variety of fun events happening in and around Lubbock each weekend. If you aren’t sure what you want to do, or simply want someone to make the choice for you, then you are in the right place.

Every Friday I will share a few events happening in Lubbock so you can easily make last-minute plans with your friends or family.

Lubbock Arts Festival

Let’s start with a huge annual event that is happening April 13th and 14th, 2024. The Lubbock Arts Festival is a family-friendly event featuring all sorts of artists from around the country including painters, photographers, jewelry makers, actors, singers, dancers, and more.

It is held at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center and tickets are available at the door and online.

Los Locos at Mano Negra

Laugh Hub City is having a comedy event at Mano Negra Brewing Co. on Saturday, April 13th at 9:00 p.m.

The comedians featured include Chris Hobart, “Is”, Chrissy Covington, and headliner Stephanie “Shonuf” Spencer. There is a cover charge at the door, seating is first come first serve, and the doors open at 8:00 p.m.

Other

If those two events don’t interest you, maybe one of these other events will. There is the Kokedama Workshop at the Dutch House of Plants, a French Macaron Class at the Culinary Co-Op, and the Touch a Truck event by the Junior League of Lubbock happening at the South Plains Mall.
