No...not the outhouse. The big building behind it.

It looks like Lubbock's School Of Rock is headed to a new place to rock out. After years at 7802 Indiana, I noticed a shiny new building with signage already in place on 82nd Street at the corner of Quincy, right next to Thornhill's Pharmacy.

I must say, the new building looks AMAZING! Their Facebook page has lots of videos showing the construction progress, as they get set to make the move.

School Of Rock has been guiding young musicians for years, starting with the "Little Wing" program for pre-schoolers and toddlers, all the way up to the House Band and "All-Stars", which is a travelling band of musicians who make up the top 1% of School Of Rock students, who also get the experience of being on the road in an actual touring band.

I have had several opportunities to see different School Of Rock bands in different cities, and the level of talent and ability these kids have is nothing short of incredible.

Students have the ability to learn many different instruments at School Of Rock, including guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and drums. Or if they wish to channel their inner David Lee Roth (without the insanity), they can be trained as a vocalist and potential lead singer.  Again, seeing these kids performing familiar hit songs in front of a crowd, and sounding better than the original vocalists and musicians is a great testament to the level of training and musical education that School Of Rock offers.

Rock on, kids!
