At least two Texas lawmakers want the Texas Department of Health and Human Services to study the effectiveness along with the long-term health effects of the COVID-19 vaccine. Including whether the vaccines led to death.

State Representative Dustin Burrows (HD84) State Senator Drew Springer (SD30) filed the legislation in their respective chambers on Thursday. Burrows appeared on The Chad Hasty Show Thursday evening to discuss the legislation and told Hasty that he hears from families everyday that aren't sure what to do, and that there are legitimate questions about hearts issues and other possible long-term effects of the vaccine that Texans need to know about. Burrows also told Hasty that he didn't believe Washington, D.C. would provide answers to Texas must lead.

In a press release, the lawmakers called for the findings to be presented to the Governor, Lt. Governor, and Speaker by January 1, 2024.

The study must consider the immediate adverse reactions Texans have experienced from taking the various COVID-19 vaccines, the long term adverse reactions Texans have encountered from taking the various COVID-19 vaccines, any misrepresentations about the effectiveness or dangers of taking of the vaccine by its manufacturers or any governmental agency, and any concealment of information about the effectiveness or dangers of taking of the vaccine by its manufacturers or any governmental agency.

The bill instructs the Texas Department of Health and Human Services to report its findings to Speaker of the House of Representatives Dade Phelan, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, and Governor Greg Abbott, no later than January 1, 2024

This will be one of many bills we will continue to watch as the 88th Texas Legislative Session continues. To hear Burrow's interview on The Chad Hasty Show.
