Texans counting on a popular salad shop with locations throughout Texas to help them keep their new year's resolutions will be disappointed by today's news. The drive-thru concept Salad and Go is set to close all locations in the Lone Star State and the headquarters will be leaving DFW too.

Texas Says Goodbye to Salad and Go

According to the Dallas Morning News, all locations of Salad and Go located in Texas and Oklahoma will be closing for good. The company will also move its headquarters out of the area and back to Arizona. The move comes after a story in September that announced closures across Texas.

What is Salad and Go?

Salad and Go is a drive-thru chain that launched in 2013 in Gilbert, Arizona and had grown to 140 locations around the United States until recently. It's known for its sub-$10 salads and wraps. They also have locations in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Oklahoma.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Salad and Go is closing after facing economic burden.

Tattersfield said that the “economic burden” faced by the company came from the large kitchen in Dallas and the company’s expansion plan. He told the Business Journal the brand’s aggressive growth in the past years was based on a flawed business plan, but he expects it to be successful again.

“By consolidating our operations at our Phoenix area headquarters, we can focus on what matters most: food quality, menu innovation, guest experience, and building for long-term growth,” Tattersfield said.

At the end of 2024, there were 146 locations and Salad and Go, now just 70 remain in two states.
