Texas Tech Sells Out 10th Straight Home Game For Big 12 Opener

For the 10th consecutive home game, Texas Tech has sold out of all primary tickets for Friday night's match against Houston. This Friday marks the Big 12 Conference opener where the two teams will face off at Galaxy Stadium.

The advanced ticket sellout marks the third already for the 2026 season, and there're no signs of slowing as Texas Tech is already less than 500 tickets away from selling out for the October 17 home game against Arizona State.

The regular season ends with a home game at 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving night where they'll face the TCU Horned Frogs.

Here's a bit of trivia for you: Texas Tech's first-ever game against Houston was in October of 1951 when the Red Raiders suffered a 0-6 loss from the Cougars.
