Lubbock, Texas is alive with music—you just have to get out and experience it.

As summer winds down, two of Lubbock’s most beloved bands will close out the patio concert series at the Buddy Holly Center. If you haven’t made it to one of these Thursday night shows, now’s the time to change that.

First up—Mojave Soul, Tonight from 5:30 to 7:30
A true Lubbock original, Mojave Soul has built a reputation for never delivering a bad show. These guys take fun seriously. They’ve rocked crowd after crowd with high-energy performances, blending heartfelt songwriting with a rock-solid groove. If you’re looking for a guaranteed good time, this is it.

Next Thursday—Element Brings the Smooth Vibes
The final show of the season features Lubbock’s premiere Rhythm & Blues band, Element. Think Earth, Wind & Fire or The Commodores—smooth, professional, soulful. If that’s your thing, they’ll absolutely deliver. This is the band to bring out-of-town guests to see. They always impress.

I mean no disrespect to the many amazing bands that have graced the same stage—but these two are standouts. If someone from out of town said, “I want to see some real Lubbock music,” these would be the acts I’d take them to.

The Spirit of the Depot Lives On
The Buddy Holly Center has done a great job preserving the vibe of the legendary Depot Beer Garden, which once stood in the same location. The name may have changed, but those unforgettable nights on the patio are still happening—just with a fresh look and new energy.

Get out and enjoy these last two Thursday shows. You’ll be glad you did.
