Experience Local Licks With Mojave Sol & Violent Vendetta This Weekend On FMX
I don’t want to hype this up too much, because this really isn’t about us — it’s about the bands and the music. That said, the guys in Mojave Sol deserve a little spotlight.
Mojave Sol have been steadily growing, sharpening their sound, and showing up with nothing but a chill, positive attitude every time. They don’t posture, they don’t complain, and they definitely don’t act like the world owes them anything. They just keep showing up, plugging in, and playing.
Over a month ago I reached out to the band with the intention of getting them on the air. Unfortunately, life threw me a curveball and I ended up spending ten days in the hospital. I’m not even sure the band knew about that situation — but they never got impatient, never asked why things stalled, and never made it weird. They just waited it out. That kind of quiet professionalism says a lot and is always why they are top choice when national acts need a solid band on the bill.
We finally locked in a radio spot last weekend. And of course, because the universe has a sense of humor, the transmitter decided to fail right then. Fans who were listening online were able to catch it, but it’s just not the same as hearing it broadcast the way radio was meant to be heard — loud, full, and driving down the road.
We’re Giving Mojave Sol and Violent Vendetta Another Run
There’s a certain energy that comes from the way broadcast processing hits a track — a depth, punch, and polish that streaming alone doesn’t quite match. So we’re running it back.
This Sunday around 12:15–12:20, we’ll be rolling “Panacea” again, so Mojave Sol and their fans can hear it the way it deserves to be heard — cranked up in cars all over town.
And there’s more. We already had the guys from Violent Vendetta, originally from Big Spring and now based in Lubbock, scheduled for Saturday. Their new track will hit the air around 2:20 on Wes’s Rusty Metal Box. You'll hear me say it on air, but thier new track has both echo's of Killswitch, with a lot of latter day Pantera in it, while still being as hard as nails.

Both of these bands have delivered quality work, and they’ve done it without drama, entitlement, or ego. That’s worth celebrating. If you’ve got a few minutes this weekend, turn it up, show some support, and hey… let’s all say a little prayer (or cross some fingers) that the transmitter behaves this time.
