Long Running Local Lubbock Bakery Announces It Will Close Soon
A local Lubbock bakery that has served the community for 12 years has announced it will close its current storefront permanently on Christmas Eve this year.
Simply Decadent Bakery, located at 5905 82nd Street, 101, made the announcement on their Facebook page and Instagram.
This year has been tough for many businesses. After many discussions, tears, self-battles, and prayers, I have decided to close the doors as of December 24th.
The post said they hoped "that we can come back and bake for you again sometime," and that the end of the bakery might be temporary.

I hope this possibly indicates a new storefront in the future or perhaps a cottage business.
The post also assured anyone who has booked a holiday cake or dessert that Simply Decadent is committed to fulfilling those orders, "with the same quality and service you have grown to love," and that the cases would remain fully stocked for folks who want to drop in for a treat.
If you would like to support Simply Decadent during this tough time or enjoy their treats before you may not be able to any longer, you can drop by the storefront or order online.

Simply Decadent offers brownies, cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, cinnamon roll bread pudding, cupcakes, macarons, bars, pies, and more.
Simply Decadent also has several gluten-free options.
I frequently see folks on local food groups asking where to get a custom cake, and after browsing Simply Decadent's Instagram, they appear to be the answer. There are many examples of stunning wedding, birthday, and anniversary cakes, and the cutest baby cake I've ever seen (above).
Best of luck to Simply Decadent, we wish you the best during this transition, and hope it is more of a "see you later" than a "goodbye."
