LP&L Automated Customer Service Sucks [VIDEO]
So Thursday, August 30th, LP&L had an outage that affected nearly 4,000 customers in the area around 34th and Boston. And of course, I live in this area. It was not nice coming home to no power. Especially since I had to help co-MC the Aquaria show and needed a nap. (Because let's face it, no one wants to nap when it is 90 degrees in their house!)
So I called LP&L's customer service. I was hot and didn't know what was going on. But what really got me hot was their automated customer service line that took 3 attempts to get through to. This was after they hung up on me twice!
"Power should be restored by 5:15 p.m." This is what they told me at 5:43 p.m. My power didn't come back on until 6:30 p.m. So much for that nap!
Come on, LP&L -- get a better system!
