In case you haven’t heard, the Hub City Barbeque event is no longer exactly for the Hub City — it’s now reserved for Chamber of Commerce members. That’s fine. Truly. Because if there’s one thing we are not short on in Lubbock, it’s incredible barbecue.

We don’t need wristbands or parking-lot politics to get brisket done right. We’ve got brick-and-mortar legends, neighborhood staples, and hidden gems serving smoked perfection every single day — no gatekeeping required.

I’d also like to apologize in advance for any omissions. And always double-check before you go — many barbecue joints are open until sellout and/or keep some pretty funky hours.
