What's a guy to do when a town has more great places to get a taco than days of the week? I feel like you could get not good, but great tacos for every meal for a week straight without hitting the same place twice. This is a glorious and good problem to have.

I'm going to start with my friends at Jimenez. Their tacos are so good that they've been shouted out by Texas Monthly. I love every little detail they add to their Amigos plate, and THEN on weekends, they make decisions tough by adding barbacoa to the menu. I must also say they make some amazing migas for the breakfast hours as well.

Next, I'd like to give a shoutout to The Plaza (both locations). When I need a sit-down restaurant, The Plaza is perfect for me. While I can't get my wife to order anything else other than their friend chile relleno, The Plaza is the hookup for machaca and fish tacos for me.

I'm also going to "go there" and say, that the Lubbock locations of Rosa's have never let me down. Crispy, or soft, beef or chicken, and my favorite, tacos al carbon. Want proof of how great Rosa's is? We just had an out-of-towner in who insisted on eating there two days in a row!

I do also like Taqueria Jalisco, and my Hawaiian brother makes a beeline for Abuelo's whenever he is in town. I can also testify that I've never had a bad meal at Anna's Mexican Restaurant on Indiana either. Let's also not forgot the party crowd that like to hit up Chimy's for a taco and margarita combo!

So what's the point of all of this? We are fortunate to live in a place with so many great places to get tacos, Tex-Mex and Mexican food in general. Some of you have not dipped out of the Hub City long enough to know that there are wide-swaths of America where you can't find a good taco to save your life.
