Lubbock’s Alamo Drafthouse to Host ‘Pulp Fiction’ Movie Party
1994's Pulp Fiction was, and continues to be, one of the most iconic films ever made. It's a neo-noir masterpiece, with director Quentin Tarantino's signature dialogue and violence. And it has the word f*** in it 265 times. It's great, and there are many reasons why we all fell in love with this film.
Lubbock's Alamo Drafthouse is celebrating the film with a Movie Party on Friday, July 20th.
Attendees can expect a Jack Rabbit Slim's Twist Dance competition, and props including cap guns. Guests are encouraged to quote-a-long with well-known quotes from the film. You might want to practice this one if you want to sound really bad-ass:
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you.
Also, be sure to cheer when our boy Buddy Holly comes on screen, played briefly, but with deadpan brilliance, by Steve Buscemi.
To book your tickets, which I highly encourage you do ASAP, head over to Alamo Drafthouse's website.
