Lubbock’s Best Chinese Buffet Spots, And Some Other Great Options
Lubbock doesn't have just a ton of Chinese buffet options. There are only two in town- Hayashi Buffet and China Star. Lubbock has lost plenty over the years- the one that is now an event center near I27 and the one across from "old" Target come to mind. Despite what may appear to be a lack of options, we will look at both buffets and give a few more options you might not have thought about to indulge that craving.

Hong Kong Buffet (402 Lubbock Rd in Brownfield)
Willing to make a 35ish-minute drive? The buffet in Brownfield offers fewer items to choose from, but has impressive reviews, and ala cart ordering is available too.
Other Good Options To Satisfy That Craving
If you just want a lot of that startchy, Americanized-Chinese goodness, it's hard to beat either Kung Fu (5102 60th St M) or Crush (5109 82nd St #9), which both offer massive portions of Chinese food favorites. Its not all you can eat, but it's more than most could possibly hope to eat, and you do get to sample entrees before you commit.
Another good option is the Mongolian BBQ available at Beijing House (3605 50th St). You pick all the items you want them to stir-fry up for you in their giant wok. It's incredibly tastey and if you're like me, you could get an engineering degree based on how much you can fit in a bowl.
Whether you’re chasing nostalgia or just need an all-you-can-eat fix, Lubbock’s Chinese buffet scene still has a few spots locals swear by. From dependable variety to familiar comfort-food classics, these buffets continue to draw crowds looking for big plates and bigger value.
