This year, I have exactly zero motivation to prepare a Christmas meal. I also don't have a Christmas, tree and I haven't wrapped a single present. I am just so ready for the single most "blah" year of human history to draw to a close.

That being said, I still want to eat and enjoy a holiday meal. A great solution to this problem is to support one of Lubbock's many deserving and delicious local small businesses. Many restaurants have adapted to being to-go experts, and are offering take-home options that are sure to impress. But one local restaurant has an offering that brings it to another level for your Christmas dinner.

Lubbock's The Crafthouse Gastropub (3131 34th Street) will prepare one of their many delicious sides or a pie, in your dishware, if that is what you prefer. I know many people will choose that option for a coherent aesthetic on their holiday table, but if you were to pass a Crafthouse Cheesecake Pie off as your own because it's in your inherited Corningwear, well...it's not cheating if you don't get caught.

The Crafthouse Gastropub

I suspect you might not be able to get away with plagiarizing Crafthouse Gastropub's signature Banoffee pie unless your guest has never been to their. All of their dishes are one-of-a-kind and chef-crafted, but the Banoffee pie is a truly special gem.

Even if you're an excellent and passionate cook, you might consider getting a side or a dessert from a local restaurant. It's been an extremely tough year for even the finest among them. Everyone that has survived this long is a testament to their quality and their fortitude. They deserve our love.

If you would like to order from The Crafthouse Gastropub, you can do so by visiting their website or by giving them a call at 806-687-1466.
