Lubbock’s Favorite Condiment Has A New Flavor Perfect For Summer

Who knew a glaze could have such a huge following? I'm not even sure "following" is strong enough. Big Wick's has a fandom at this point.

The original Big Wick's is a perfect condiment: real jalapenos cooked to perfection in a real roaster. The smoky heat paired with sweetness is delicious when poured over a block of cream cheese and served with crackers. It's also excellent as a finisher glaze for any meat (chicken is my favorite so far).

Even though I could live off of the original Big Wick's for a lifetime, the Wickers continue to develop more incredible flavors of their glaze. Make sense- they are true culinary adventurers and they want to take us, their friends, along for the ride.

Recently, Big Wick's released a hotter version of the orginal. Fuego features serrano peppers as well as jalapenos and it's deliciously spicy.

And, as if to restore balance to the universe, Big Wick's has just released their newest flavor: Poteet Strawberry, which is a summery sweet yet mildly spicy glaze.

I'm very honored to have tried this flavor before it even hit shelves and I am very impressed. Real, ripe strawberry comes forward immediately, with the smoky jalapeno flavor as a tastebud-tingling finish. My first thought was that I wanted it poured over soft-serve vanilla ice cream. Cheesecake would also be amazing.

I'm not limiting myself to desserts, though. This would be incredible over Salmon or even shaken into a cocktail.

In case you're wondering what a "Poteet" is- Poteet is a town in Texas and the "Strawberry Capital" of our state. I can see why- this is the best real strawberry flavor I've ever tasted. High-quality ingredients make for a high-quality product.
