Lubbock’s First Multi-Bay Indoor Golf Facility Is Coming Soon
If you love golf but hate how here in West Texas you can't play all the time due to weather, guess what -- that's changing.
The new indoor golf facility called Texas Wedge will change how Lubbock golfs. No matter the temperature, rain or wind outside, Texas Wedge will have climate-controlled golf.
Owner Wade Fullingim is excited to let people play, practice, and even take lessons with the new TrackMan. Fullingim is actually a golf instructor here in Lubbock and has been teaching full-time since 2016. This has been Fullingim's dream for the past six years and he said it was finally time.
TrackMan is a premium simulator that allows you to play any golf course, tour venues, and junior tees. You know how regular golf takes forever? Well, one player can play nine holes in under 30 minutes.
They even have fun games like capture the flag, long drive competition, kids games and so much more.
Not sure if this sounds legit? The TrackMan software coming to Texas Wedge is the same software used in the PGA Tour. See it in action below:
There will be six simulators or six bays that you can enjoy and play at. Along with that, there will be a teaching studio for people that want to take lessons and learn. If you're looking to get into golfing shape, they will also have a small gym at their facility.
They recommend bringing your own golf clubs, but will have some if you don't have any.
"I want golfers here in Lubbock to be able to have control when they play golf," said Fullingim. "We are going to be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. That gives golfers a lot more options to not only play all year round because we get to avoid the weather but then with people's busy schedules if they want to come in and do a quick nine holes during lunch they can."
Texas Wedge will offer memberships or a pay-by-the-hour option depending on what customers are looking for. There will be three membership options: one dedicated to the entertainment side, a membership more to practice, and an elite membership that's all-inclusive.
Texas Wedge is even offering an early access club that gives first dibs on memberships and bay rental packages. You can find out more about them on their official website. They hope to open by end of September and will be located at 5217 82nd Street in Lubbock, Texas.
