Lubbock's newest baseball and softball training facility, Knocksville, is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 10th, 2022.

The ceremony, co-hosted by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, will take place at their facility, located at 11717 Indiana Avenue at 11:15 a.m. Then, on Saturday, February 12th, an Opening Day event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For the Opening Day, festivities such as Home Run Derby competitions, food trucks, collegiate player autographs, tours of the facility and more will be offered. During the event, Knocksville will be offering 50 percent off all memberships purchased, as well.

In a press release, Knocksville described itself as a "state-of-the-art baseball and softball training facility with cutting-edge equipment and large training spaces." The facility is said to be equipped with a full-size turf infield, oversized team cages and video simulation pitching machines. Members, parents and coaches will be able to schedule reserved sessions through the Knocksville app.

Ronnie Cherry, COO of Knocksville, said the following:

Our goal is to encourage a community of baseball and softball players to dream big, embrace the grind, own their edge, and share the love of the game. Our holistic training culture led by Garrett Heard, our Director of Training, is what helps players reach their full potential.

The ribbon cutting ceremony and Opening Day are open to the public. To learn more about Knocksville, visit their website knocknation.com.
