A new store that specialize in all things hemp is opening this spring in Lubbock.

Hemp Maiden, a 1,600-square foot store, is aiming to be a one-stop shop for Hub City hemp and CBD aficionados. That means anyone looking for hemp-based clothing, including jeans, shirts, hats, belts and wallets, or hemp-based lotions, bath bombs, tinctures and gummies, will have a new go-to place in Lubbock. But it doesn't stop there.

We spoke to owners John and Jennifer Jeppson, who outlined a bigger plan for their new venture -- one that aims to help other local entrepreneurs.

"We really have a big goal of having more than one store, but each individual store would be allocating products from that specific area (of town)," John Jeppson said. The focus would be helping other local businesses to improve, he added.

Not only is Hemp Maiden focused on local, but female-led companies, too. That's truly a breath of fresh air.

"Part of the focus is women-owned businesses," said Jennifer Jeppson. Indeed, the vast majority of businesses Hemp Maiden is partnering with are owned by women.

Hemp Maiden is slated to have a soft opening Monday, April 8th, and a big two-day Grand Opening event on May 17th and 18th. The store is located at 6301 82nd Street, Suite 301.

You can visit them at their official website and Facebook page for business hours, sales and more, or say hi at Lubbock's 4/20 Fest, which happens April 19th-21st.
