A Lubbock man was arrested on Friday, October 2nd, 2020 after reports say he called the police on himself.

It's said that 23-year-old Ramon Ramirez III called police on September 29th, 2020. He told police that he had sex with a 13-year-old family member around 8 months prior.

KAMC News reports that Ramirez asked to turn himself in. He said he knew he would have to register as a sex offender, and even gave officers his location and attire at the time of the call. He said that he wouldn't try to fight the charges, and said he had already told "everybody" about the situation through texts and Snapchat.

Ramirez says that everything was consensual, but the victim told investigators that she told Ramirez to stop. The victim also claims that aside from the original incident in December, Ramirez also touched her inappropriately in May, June and July.

Ramirez said that he had sent sexually explicit images to another minor, said to be around 10 or 11-years-old, but the warrant had minimal details concerning that incident. Ramirez gave his phone to police so they could examine any evidence that was on it.

It's said that Ramirez "had a guilty conscience" and that's why he turned himself in. He was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Ramirez remains booked in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $200,000.
