Is There A Waitlist at P.E.T.S. Lubbock?

It depends. For female cats and dogs, you will likely have to wait to utilize these services, as they are very much in demand and require a more complicated surgery and downtime for your pet. However, P.E.T.S. recently announced there is NO wait time for male cats.

How Much Is It To Neuter A Male Cat? What Else Do I Need To Know?

The cost to neuter is $40, much less than a typical vet's office. If you do not have proof that the animal has had a rabies shot, you will need to get them one at P.E.T.S. for an additional cost of $17. To schedule your male cat neuter, call them at 806-507-0836.

Your cat must be 3 months to under 6 years old and weigh at least 3 pounds. Himalayan cats, or Persian cats, are not eligible for spay/neuter at this clinic as they can have breed-related complications with surgery.

Pain medication for your pet is included with no extra charge, and you can opt for additional add-ons during surgery, like microchipping and vaccinations.

Remember To Be Kind

If you feel frustrated that this same time frame is available for your female cat or for your dog, please remember that this clinic is a nonprofit run primarily by volunteers who get over 100 requests for surgeries daily. Please be patient and kind with these folks, and if you have a pet that needs this service, get on the waitlist A.S.A.P.
