If you've driven around Loop 289 in Lubbock, you've probably noticed the giant pyramid building near Indiana Avenue. The building looks like a pyramid, which is where it gets its Pyramid Plaza name. Sometimes they just nail the name.

The 116,000 square-foot Pyramid Plaza has recently been purchased by a group of local investors who are planning to modernize and update the office building. The renovation will take place over the next few months.

According to a press release from the Coldwell Banker Realty Group, "The renovation of the property includes an elevator modernization program that will begin immediately as well as upgrades to the common areas of the building, a new exterior lighting plan, and parking lot improvements. In addition, individual suites in the building will be remodeled with updated finishes for new and renewing tenants."

The Pyramid Plaza has been in Lubbock since the early 1980s and was once a coveted space for offices in the city. The building has had more vacancies recently, but the new owners hope that the renovations and investment into the property will bring the Pyramid Plaza back to its glory days.

The new Pyramid Plaza will focus on the positive memories that Lubbock has when trying to renovate and will try to make it one of the "most desirable buildings for companies to select for their next office," according to the new owners.

The 10 Best 'Hole in the Wall' Restaurants on 34th Street in Lubbock

34th Street is known locally as "where the work gets done," but it's also where the eats go down. (Side note: I also might be the only one that says that because nobody else I know remembers that.) Back to the point, these buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on.

These buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on. I wasn't as strict on this one as I was on my 34th Street version which you can read if you keep scrolling, but I defend my choices below. If you can get a cash loan in the same strip mall as your pizza, it might be a Hole in the Wall.
