Pop Evil is what I would call a workhorse band, and they’re coming back to Lubbock to do the work.

If you haven’t experienced Pop Evil live, then it’s probably about time. If you have seen them live, then I probably don’t have to convince you. These guys have built their reputation by getting onstage, turning up the volume and delivering the kind of straightforward rock show that leaves everyone sweaty and satisfied.

Pop Evil has scored eight No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, along with 15 additional songs that landed between No. 2 and No. 10. That gives the band an impressive total of 23 Top 10 rock hits.

That is a ton of great music for them to choose from when they build a setlist. Songs like “Trenches,” “Footsteps,” “Torn to Pieces,” “Waking Lions,” “Breathe Again” and “Skeletons” have become modern rock-radio staples.

Pop Evil Returns To Jake’s Backroom

The band knows how to rock Lubbock, too. Pop Evil made its Hub City debut at the old Tequila Jungle and has returned several times over the years, playing festivals and shaking the walls at Jake’s Backroom.

Now they’re returning to knock whatever paint is left off those walls.

Pop Evil will perform at Jake’s Sports Cafe and Backroom on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The show is currently scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

No supporting bands are currently listed for the Lubbock show. I would assume some guests may be added later, but Pop Evil certainly has enough songs to play for hours if they want to. The group has more than enough radio hits, fan favorites and deep cuts to fill the room without needing much help.

We’re pretty excited to have the band back in town, and of course, we’ve got you covered.
