Props to These Lubbock Businesses for Revitalizing 34th Street
It takes a lot of guts to build a new building in an old area.
I just wanted to give a shoutout to Alliance Credit Union and Meals On Wheels/Talkington Volunteer Center for giving a small part of 34th Street a facelift.
If you've followed my writings at all, you know I feel like we need to protect 34th and 50th Streets, the real heart of Lubbock. These businesses (I call Meals on Wheels a business, for lack of a better term) have put up brand-spanking new buildings that really look awesome.
It's my hope they'll inspire other businesses to locate there, or for existing businesses to continue to upgrade their appearance.
Part of the appeal of this area is that it has a lot of local businesses surround by some very large neighborhoods. And that's awesome for everyone.
