Lubbock is losing another local favorite, this time it sounds like its for good. The Ranch House Restaurant in Downtown Lubbock announced on Thursday that they would soon be closing the doors for good.

In 2017, the Ranch House first announced that it would close, but the restaurant was saved and has been open since. Ranch House has been a staple of Lubbock for over 45 years for breakfast and lunch at 1520 Buddy Holly Avenue.

On Thursday, the owners of Ranch House posted on Facebook that Saturday would be the final day the restaurant would be open.

Saturday, October 29th will be the Ranch House Restaurant's last day. THE RANCH HOUSE RESTAURANT IS CLOSING.
The Ranch House building is available for private events, meetings, and catering.

It is sad to hear about another long time local restaurant closing its doors and it is a reminder that the economy and workforce is still having an impact on local businesses and that we still aren't back to the pre-pandemic economy.
We wish the owners of Ranch House the best of luck.
