Highly-Anticipated Viral Eatery Major Step Closer To Opening In Lubbock

Lubbock is getting a TikTok viral restaurant sooner than you might think.

Roni's Mac Bar is known for their clever and tantalizing TikTok videos of customized macaroni and cheese bowls.

Seriously, if you've scrolled enough, you have seen a few of these. And they are quite hunger-inducing. Here's the latest, which is interestingly "meta" in that it's referencing another person filing them for a viral TikTok trend.

Back in January, the hype for Roni's Mac Bar to open in Lubbock was very real, as Lubbockites have been impatient for this Texas-born eatery to make it to the hub city.

That's right, internet sensation Roni's began in Waco, which invented my other favorite "food" Dr. Pepper.

Now, Roni's is a major step closer to opening- a step that makes it feel very real- they have the sign up at their location, 2400 Glenna Goodacre.

Here you can see that they used a local sign maker to fabricate a beautiful sign- and I think that's a great way to start.

Roni's Mac Bar is a stone's throw from Texas Tech, where I am sure it will provide the much-needed carbs for brains working in over-drive (yes, the brain needs glucose to function, which is broken down from carbs, and therefore can help with studying and exams and you can use that excuse to chow down anytime you like).

There is something deeply comforting about a gooey bowl of mac and cheese, so I am excited to try this new restaurant in Lubbock (maybe a couple of weeks after it opens- you know how we love our new restaurants!)
